Back when we got pregnant with Ellie (our first child, if you happen to end up here and don’t know us) in 2008, I started my first blog. That one was just a place for us to share our adventure as new parents with our close friends and family- which was quite a hit back then.
In the fall of 2011, I started another blog “professionally” to share information on speech & language development and interventions- mostly to help fellow parents navigate development (I am a pediatric speech-language pathologist- though I have taken a break from working to homeschool my kids). When I started that one up, the personal family blog kind of dwindled out. I tried to update a bit on my professional blog on some personal issues (Like E’s juvenile arthritis) but soon the personal blog was long gone and my professional blog seemed not the place for certain things.
Then in 2017, I ended up becoming a homeschooler- which was never in the plans. However, I ended up realizing how important it was to embrace all the changes and newness and just roll with it. Life is just so unpredictable and here I was, in a very unpredicted place.
In early 2018 I decided maybe I should start another blog. I wanted to share about homeschooling, parenting, and photography mostly. I originally thought of “embracing the chaos” and some other ideas…and then it occurred to me that it would be about embracing ALL OF IT. Which is where the name came from.
Unfortunately I just never got the blog launched…so it sat here, lonely, until now. November 2019 I decided to press forward and use this place as a new place to share our lives.
And yes, something prompted this. Something pretty big.
So welcome to our new place.
